Barbadian pop group CoverDrive yesterday came in kudos in the House of Assembly.
Minister of Family, Culture, Sports and Youth Stephen Lashley offered his congratulations when he rose to speak on a resolution in the pre-lunch sitting, hailing the quartet as “stars” emerging from this country.
“I want to take this opportunity to congratulate them on behalf of the Government,” he said to loud thumping from colleagues.
“They represent a number of emerging stars in Barbados that have taken the world by storm. I want to say to them that they will enjoy our total support and backing as we watch their continued performance on the world stage.”
CoverDrive hit the No. 1 spot on the British single charts with Twilight on Sunday. (RJ)
