Smith heads Civil Service

Government’s Director of Finance and Economic Affairs Grantley Smith will add the position of head of the civil service to his portfolio of responsibilities from next month.
Smith, a career civil servant and one of Government’s chief financial advisors, will lead the Civil Service following the retirement of Avril Gollop who held the position of Cabinet Secretary and head of the Civil Service.
Smith sits on a number of boards as Government’s representative, including the board of the Central Bank of Barbados. (GE)
