It took a while in coming, but Barbados finally landed gold at the 2012 CARIFTA Games yesterday morning.
Akela Jones clinched the Under-20 girls’ long jump with a leap measured at 6.18 metres on the final day of the regional junior track and field meet at the National Sports Centre in Bermuda.
