Hadyn Chandler could be the poster man for any no smoking campaign.
The 64-year-old, who smoked for 40 years, is more than equipped to convince people to stick to good addictions, like church and Jesus Christ, and not the bad ones.
Because of his addiction he is in a wheelchair; is on oxygen 24 hours a day; has 24 ailments; and is on a regime of 32 different medications each day.
Chandler was a special guest yesterday at Ellerton Primary School where there were activities to mark World No Tobacco Day.
He talked about his life of addiction, which started with the first puff at age 13, and all the complications which led to heart surgery and his dependence on oxygen and a wheelchair with the intrigued students.
Here, eight-year-old Shalom Wilkinson asks Chandler about his many health issues. (YB)
