HARTLEY REID has one New Year’s idea that he wants local cricketers to embrace.
“I want our cricketers to stop seeing cricket as just a game. The time has come for them to look at cricket as if it is work,” he said.
Reid, Barbados’ new cricket manager, was speaking Sunday after watching a Barbados XI record a five wicket win over the Combined Colleges and Campuses (CCC) at the 3Ws Oval.
The former police officer maintained that it was high time that the island’s cricketers adopted a more serious approach, as they head into the Caribbean Twenty20 competition which bowls off in five days.
