Sheep takes cover
THEY MAY NOT even be man’s second best friend, but sheep get special treatment in Barbados.
It includes notices – hints to motorists that the animals may be crossing the road or just standing in the road – and even makeshift covering against the rain that some may call a “sheepcoat”.
Someone has erected a sign at Prior Park, St James, cautioning drivers to Drive Slow, Sheep [Around]. Sheep are often spotted on the pasture, grazing near the busy main road.
Over in Charles Rowe Bridge, St George, on a rainy day recently a driver took care in covering and securing a sheep he was transporting on the back of his truck. (TTY)
