One minute Sonia Corbin was hanging out clothes in her yard last Saturday. The next she was screaming for help and struggling to stop herself from falling into a sinkhole.
The scared mother of four said the incident had her fearful of going into the yard of her Clarke’s Avenue, Bayland, St Michael home.
“I was hanging out clothes when the ground caved in and opened up with me and I just drop in. I was so scared. I just screamed for my son,” she said yesterday.
Corbin said she was in the hole up to her chest and it was only by stretching her arms that she did not fall further. (CA)
