A St George family is struggling to come to grips with the loss of a loved one whose life was cut short under tragic circumstances.
Four-year-old Tyra Shakoya Forde, of Hanson Hill, a pedestrian at the time, was involved in a collision with a car around 3 p.m. on Thursday, November 14, just a stone’s throw from her home at the junction Hanson Hill Road and Dash Valley Road.
Tyra sustained serious injuries and died at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where she was being treated, on Sunday around 11 p.m.
The car was driven by Nadine Blenman, 72, of Haggatt Hall, St Michael.
Yesterday at the child’s home, relatives were hurting deeply. Her father Paul Forde, appeared more composed as he explained the family’s present state.
