POLICE?accident investigators were last night interviewing 37-year-old Kelvin Hall, the driver of the minibus involved in this country’s first road fatality of 2014.
Police public relations officer Inspector David Welch told the WEEKEND?NATION that Hall was assisting the police with their investigations into the early morning collision at the Eagle Hall junction that also involved a Transport Board bus.
Welch, noting that Barbados had recorded 19 road fatalities last year, urged road users to adhere to proper safety standards and road signals of all kinds.
The tragedy at the crossroads left a Christ Church family in mourning for the second time within two months. Gone is George Anthony Blackman, a 62-year-old gardener of 7th Avenue, Harts Gap, Christ Church.
