BARBADOS WON THREE more gold medals tonight at the 2014 CARIFTA Swimming Championships in Aruba.
Hannah Gill took the 13-14 girls’ 200 metres freestyle with a time of two minutes 09.99 seconds.
Christian Selby also won gold in the 15-17 boys’ 200m freestyle in one minute 53.58 seconds, a “B” qualifying mark for the Central American and Caribbean Games. Alex Sobers was fourth in 1:56.09, a “B” standard for the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China.
The final gold medallist was Danielle Titus with a time of five minutes 53.13 seconds in the 11-12 girls’ 400M individual medley (IM).
Luis Sebastian Weekes won the lone silver medal in the 13 to 14 boys’ 400IM in 4:56.02.
Zabrina Holder finished third in the 15-17 girls’ 50M butterfly in 29.19 seconds, and missed a second bronze medal with a time of 2:09.26 by splits in the 200m freestyle.
The girls’ 15-17 team also won a bronze medal in the 400m medley relay in 4:41.75.
