AS?MANY AS 650 people may be employed at Sandals Resort in Christ Church when that hotel becomes fully operational within eight months, says the company’s chairman, Gordon Butch Stewart.
“Right now we have about 400 people on site,” Stewart told the DAILY?NATION in New York, where Lady Sandals, the company’s yacht, was moored at the Chelsea Piers.
“By the time the (refurbishment) phase is completed and operational we will have about 600 to 650 (employees). That’s our projection,” he added.
He further explained that Sandals’ Barbadian employees would be able to work at any of the chain’s properties in Jamaica, The Bahamas, St Lucia, Antigua and Barbuda, Grenada, and the Turks and Caicos Islands.
