A FRIEND of mine has been seeing a girl for almost five years.
During that time, he has never once introduced her to his family even though he visits her family. Does that make sense to you?
I believe if a man really loves a woman he would want everyone to know.
Is he going to hide to marry this girl? What should my friend do? Isn’t my friend also responsible for this situation?

Dear EP,
My first thoughts are that you should stay out of your friend’s business. Not all relationships will run the same course. From your letter you appear to be insinuating that this man is hiding something from your friend, but this may not be the case at all.
Some people just prefer to keep their personal relationships private. In fact, some folks are not as close to their families as one would expect them to be, and maybe this man is one of them.
You asked whether he was going to hide to marry her; I would like to ask if he is going to marry her at all.
Surely after five years he ought to have done something along those lines if that was ever his intention. However, again, all relationships do not run along the same course.
I suppose this girl will have to confront this man about his “commitment” to her and find out for herself why he has never introduced her to his family. Maybe she already knows and has not told you.
Perhaps they are both happy with the way things are.
The old folks always say not to get into “any man and woman relationship.”
If they are happy with each other as things are, don’t take on their situation.
