Barbados achieved a significant milestone in international volleyball by celebrating a silver anniversary membership to the international body of FIVB.

Yesterday at the 34th FIVB World Congress in Sardinia, Italy, first vice president of the Barbados Volleyball Association, Kenmore Bynoe, received the 25th anniversary plaque from FIVB president Dr Ary Graca and president of NORCECA, Cristobal Marte.

Barbados joined FIVB in 1988 and the milestone was actually achieved last year.

St Kitts and Nevis along with Trinidad and Tobago were two other Caribbean islands receiving 25th anniversary plaques. (KB)
