SOME OF THE CARIBBEAN’S LEADING female business leaders and academics have been talking about secrets that have helped women to reach and hold jobs with a six-figure salary.
The group includes CEO and director of the University of the West Indies’ Cave Hill School of Business Dr Jeannine Comma; deputy CEO, corporate administration, of First Citizens Bank Sharon Christopher; dean of the Faculty of Law at the St Augustine Campus of the UWI Professor Rose-Marie Belle Antoine; and regional manager of First Citizens Investment Services Limited Carole Eleuthere-Jean Marie.
They were taking part in a leadership symposium for females called “Secrets of A Six-Figure Woman” today at the School of Business.
Some of the suggestions for women who want to be successful in their careers included: Be generous but do not let it jeopardise your finances; do the best you can but do not be obsessed by perfection; sing your own praises and don’t apologise for your successes; don’t let your debt-to-income ratio get out of hand; and seek opportunities to multiply your income.
