TEA: Warrican strikes twice

KINGSTOWN, St Vincent – Windward Islands Volcanoes were 60 for two off 17 overs at tea as they began their chase in the WICB Professional Cricket League match against Barbados Pride.

The Pride reached 352 all out in 131.2 overs on the second day of their fourth round first-class match at Arnos Vale today.

The not out batsmen for the Windwards were Johnson Charles on 25 and Andre Fletcher, one.

Tyrone Theophile was bowled by left-arm spinner Jomel Warrican for 20 (46-1).

And Keddy Lesporis was caught at backward point by substitute Kenroy Williams off Warrican for eight (56-2).

Barbados Pride, starting the day on 230 for five, were bowled out 36 minutes after lunch.

Roston Chase topscored with an unbeaten 120 from his overnight 56. It was his maiden first-class century.

Chase batted for 379 minutes, faced 241 balls and struck seven fours and one six. He reached his century in 321 minutes off 206 balls with seven fours and one six. (PR/BCA)
