“IMPRESSIVE.”

That was how international drivers described the Bushy Park circuit after a media test drive yesterday.

And the 13-time Formula I winner David Coulthard, Williams F1 development driver Susie Wolff and German F1 test driver Pascal Wehrlein were the first drivers to arrive in Barbados and help launch the new ROC track for the benefit of the local media.

“This is an impressive facility and beautiful. It is a lovely and very interesting layout. It looks very good and can compare with many tracks that I have seen,” Coulthard said.

Entertainers Porgie And Murda were also on hand and given a test drive during the media tour of the sprawling racing facility. Porgie drove with nine-time Le Mans 24 Hours winner Tom Kristensen, while Murda went with Coulthard. (TT)
