IT IS TIME for a criminal investigation into the affairs of troubled insurance company Clico.
Former attorney general Dale Marshall made the call last night during a Barbados Labour Party (BLP) political meeting dubbed The People’s Parliament at the Alma Parris School in St Peter.
“I would like to call on the police high command . . . to devote a little of [its] time to pursue a criminal investigation” into the Clico affair, he said.
Marshall told the gathering there was enough information available, including a forensic audit of Clico, to provide the basis for a police probe of the insurer and he did not know “what the Royal Barbados Police Force is waiting for”.
