New school placement system coming

BARBADOS IS LOOKING to take a more scientific approach to planning for education.

The Ministry of Education, in association with a number of key stakeholders, will be engaged in a six-month exercise to develop a School Location Plan with School Mapping Model. This plan should make things like placement of schools and the resources needed a lot easier to determine.

Valrie Grant and her team at GeoTechVision Enterprises Limited will be responsible for collecting the information and formulating the plan. The programme was launched at Courtyard by Marriott this morning.  (YB)
