THE HEALTH AND wellness of employees has a direct impact on the financial resources of a company.

Consultant Lennox Prescod made that point during his presentation on the third day of this year’s Week of Excellence at Solidarity House this morning.

Giving examples of how diet and exercise, and management of non-communicable diseases can help with productivity and save costs, Prescod said one local company was able to save $180 000 in a year from improved wellness among staff.

He said the company channelled the savings back into its wellness programme, and offered incentives to staff who got good results. (YB)
