Jones in control at Vaucluse

A NEW ERA of rallycross was recreated on Monday at the Vaucluse Raceway by the Barbados Auto Racing League (BARL).

And it is no surprise that rallycross has returned to Barbados after years on the shelf, especially since the RedBull Global Rallycross (GRC) came to town last year, reviving interest in this branch of motor sport.

BARL promised action with a splash party and that is exactly what was delivered. The track layout of Vaucluse Raceway means that drivers will have to be more cunning in terms of car set-up, the cars’ chassis and the cars’ acceleration.

This is precisely why Andrew Jones was so dominant for the majority of the day.
