Reggae frenzy
IT WAS DUBBED the biggest beach party yet. And the star power which came out on Sunday for the Digicel Reggae Beach Party certainly did not disappoint.
Arguably, the thousands who from early packed the new Reggae Island on the Pierhead, The City, may have come with a main purpose to see the three big-name Jamaican artistes Movado, Popcaan and Gully Bop, but even before they performed the local acts were bringing the house down.
Talk about mash up; well, the Bajan acts like Stiffy, Celebrity, Lady Essence, Mole, Lead Pipe & Saddis, Peter Ram and Kirk Brown had the Village “tun up”. DJs Indian and Chris Gayle, Peter Coppin and Monsta Piece, Jon Doe and Tammy, Puffy, Level Vibes and Sheldon Papp, Mikey Dread and DJ Bon as well as Scott Le Roc and Mali Fresh didn’t come to play either.
