IN AN EFFORT to promote greater energy efficiency in Barbadian households, the Division of Energy will distribute free LED screw bulbs to the public at Courts, Sheraton Centre, Sargeant’s Village, Christ Church, on Friday, July 10, beginning at 10 a.m.

To be eligible for the promotion which will run until stocks last, householders must be residential customers of the Barbados Light and Power (BL&P). They are asked to bring an electricity bill which includes their address, as well as their Barbados identification card.

Householders who have already received free bulbs in earlier promotions are not eligible to participate.

The initiative is a component of the Energy Smart Fund Energy Efficiency Lighting Distribution Facility, a collaboration between the Division of Energy and Enterprise Growth Fund Limited. Other partners are the BL&P, Caribbean LED Lighting Inc., the Inter-American Development Bank and Courts. (BGIS)
