A soca rumbling

A SOCA TREMOR shook the island last Sunday afternoon.

Those dotting Farley Hill for the ninth edition of FLOW Soca On De Hill must have mistaken the rattle from the earth for the stamping and jumping of more than 12 000 patrons raving to the latest and greatest in soca. The only stopping, dropping and rolling done were not from fear, but out of sheer soca fever.

An assessment of the aftermath of one of soca’s biggest Sundays would reveal that while some impact was made, there was no major destruction on the Hill.

It was clear that even though the organisers were committed to running the show on schedule, some artistes did not have enough time to do their fair share of damage.
