AN 11-YEAR-OLD BOY was injured by a stone thrown from one Transport Board bus to another yesterday evening. Both buses were transporting school children.

According to a police release, Joshua Springer of Kingsland Christ Church was struck in the face and received injuries to the nose and one eye while travelling on BM125 yesterday along Fairview Road, Christ Church.

The stone was reportedly thrown from BM240.

The release stated one bus was transporting students from an urban school and the other students from three rural schools and an urban school. They were not named.

Springer sought private medical attention and was treated and discharged.

The driver of BM125 later discovered his bag was missing after he got out to investigate.

Police investigations are continuing into the incidents, but they are asking school children not to engage in this reckless and dangerous behaviour which could easily result in serious injury or death to others.  (PR/SAT)
