Water ease

RELIEF IS on the way for thousands of residents struggling for the past months with water shortages.

Following a meeting with acting general manager of the Barbados Water Authority (BWA), Dr John Mwansa, and other officials yesterday afternoon, Minister of Agriculture and Water Resource Management Dr David Estwick announced that a fast-track response system would go into effect within days to help ease the situation.

He said community storage tanks would be placed in appropriate areas, while the BWA was immediately obtaining four additional water tankers to help augment the supply.

An additional four tankers were being sought, to bring the total number acquired by the BWA to 12.
