HALF-CENTURIES by Kevin Stoute and Ashley Nurse highlighted the first day of the third Barbados Pride cricket trial match at the Desmond Haynes Oval yesterday.
Stoute led the way for his team with the top score of 81 as his team closed on 277 for nine against the Omar Phillips XI.
An incisive opening burst by pacers Tino Best and policeman Trevor Ifill had Stoute’s XI rocking at 24 for three in the eighth over.
Shane Parris, who scored exactly 100 in the second trial game, was first out for two, undone by a snorter from Best which hit his glove.
