PUDDING & SOUSE: Bragger now horned man

A BIG-MOUTH MAN from a certain district appears to be very quiet these days.

Neighbours believe it is because the blowhard has been taken down a peg or perhaps two. The usually loud man, who berates neighbours and co-workers, has been put on leave from his job.

The suspension has caused major embarrassment to a certain politician who got the man the job years ago after he was fired from a similar post. From the moment he started, co-workers were complaining about his behaviour and lack of respect. The complaints got to such a state that his boss had no choice but to suspend him.

But rather than keep a low profile, the man started to act up and remained nasty to his neighbours.

He did not know that they were holding the secret that his wife was having an affair and they let it fly after his bad behaviour. While he was busy poking around in other people’s business, the man found himself unwillingly a part of a love triangle.

By the time the bragger focused on what was going on, a former shutterbug of a lawman was picking up and dropping off his wife in front his face any hour of the day.

Now whenever his neighbours hear him screaming about some minor incident, they pity him because they believe it must be hard for him to be on suspension and watch his wife and her lover come and go as they please.

Not surprised by exit

HE HAD MANY TROUBLES and it had to happen sooner or later.

He tried on two previous occasions to end it all. But he was saved. The signs were there that he had problems. But those with whom he associated were in similar water, so they would not have known the difference.

Residents, however, say they had mixed feelings about him, with some even saying that they are not going to his funeral.

They told P&S that he brutally beat his mother and broke her jaw. She has sworn that she would never forgive him. Police were called in at their home in the United States and he was charged and deported to Barbados.

He was described as being very own-way; so own-way that when he was introduced to a woman described as a “free-loader” and told not to fall in love, he still did.

Being a security man, he was sure he would have things on lockdown. The person who introduced this stern-faced security guard to the love of his life knew there would have been trouble down the road. But the man would not listen. After all, he was own-way.

He loved and he loved strong, so when she told him that she had nowhere to live, he assured her that he would take her in. But gran would have none of it.

Another man told him he would oblige. So there she went to live. But what he did not realise is that there were conditions attached. She would also have to be the good Samaritan’s woman. When he found out the naked truth, he could not handle it. It was too much to bear. He saw a way out and he took it.

Woman in a bind

SHE HAS A STRONG LIKING for crashing vehicles and smoking contraband. But she has had one crash too many and this one could cost her her job. She will need more than a nurse and foreign accent to help her out of this scenario.

Those in the know say The City worker is as jittery as a pebble on a truck going across a rough road. She has contacts, both big and small and some green. But the small contact, also a heavy user of illegal substances, has spilled the beans. He was not satisfied with his cut after pulling off the job so he called the bossman.

He moved faster than the speed of the Concorde to suspend her. But his policy, she says, is not a good one. And, she is holding aces. Those around her say she knows his dirty business and the company manual inside out and he dare not fire her. Otherwise she will ensure that he comes tumbling down from his office on high.
