LIKE A PEAS AND RICE MIX, the beaches of Barbados along the South and West Coast have had an interesting blend over the last week with tourists and locals.
In fact, a St Michael lifeguard said all available beach chairs were rented because of the large number of beachgoers.
She said that on Tuesday, between Copacabana and the lifeguard hut a few feet away from the Coastal Zone Management Unit, she counted around 500 people. The popular Boatyard, with bevy of tourists, was not even accounted for, she said.
“We definitely had a lot of people between [last] Sunday and Tuesday, especially those who speak French and Spanish,” she added. (MR)
