IN AN EFFORT to get Barbadians to eat healthier foods, the National Nutrition Centre has launched a website.

The site was introduced in the Ministry of Health’s conference room today with Minister of Health John Boyce saying it would feature updated dietary guidelines on controlled portion sizes and healthy food choices in schools.

“I hope that the members of the public especially the parents and guardians will take advantage of this useful information online which has been made available for their use,” he said.

A 2016 calendar was also distributed, comprising information pulled from the dietary guidelines.

“This could be used by parents for preparing daily meals and snacks,” Boyce said. (MR)
