Shot gun ammo and cannabis seized

SEVERAL ROUNDS OF SHOT GUN ammunition and more than 2 700 cannabis plants were seized on Friday at Cleland, St Peter where members of the Drug Squad carried  out an eradication exercise.

According to a media release, police seized 12 rounds of 12-gauge ammunition and 2 789 cannabis plants during the raid.

At Boscobel, also in St Peter, police seized 106 plants and a further 416 were discovered at Bawden, St Andrew. All of the plants were reportedly found in bushy areas, ranging from seedlings to five feet in height.

No arrests were made.

It was a joint exercise involving the Drug Squad, Criminal Investigation Department, Antigun, Marine unit and the Barbados Defence Force. (PR/SAT)
