TENSIONS ARE BREWING at the Grantley Adams International Airport, which could escalate into industrial action by the end of the week.

It is understood that management met with workers around 10:30 this morning where they learnt that they will not be paid the remaining 3.5 per cent increase owed from the 7.5 per cent agreed to between 2009 and 2010.

The workers, who have been ready for action for some time now, are scheduled to meet with the National Union of Public Workers at 2 p.m. this afternoon.  (YB)
