Death stuns family, friends

A TEARY-EYED Noreen Rowe, aunt of deceased 20-year-old Chad Hope, stared blankly ahead of her and lamented that if somebody was with him to hold him, he might not have passed away.

Rowe was the one who answered the door at the Hopes’ home at 1st Avenue Welchman Hall, St Thomas, yesterday, minutes after the family, including Chad’s mother Lana Hope, had returned home from the doctor. It was hours after the body of the former St Leonard’s student was found in a house at Sweet Vale, St George.

“When I contacted the mother she said he had a seizure. He suffered with seizures,” said Rowe, adding that she could not shed any light on his presence at Sweet Vale, St George.

But reports are that Chad frequented St George and yesterday villagers described him as someone who “just walked in and walked out”.
