MINISTER OF HEALTH John Boyce is happy with efforts to fight the Zika virus and rid the island of the disease-carrying aedes aegypti mosquito.
He told NATION ONLINE the number of mosquitoes has “plummeted”.
Boyce said this was due to the hard work of the Ministry’s environmental health team “who’ve been going around monitoring and making sure homes are compliant and business places are compliant”
He said this was in addition to fogging and the use of insecticides where necessary.
Boyce was speaking on the side-lines of the Annual Tuberculosis Management Update hosted by the Ministry and the PanAmerican Health Organisation at the Accra Beach Hotel. (TG)
