AG: Barbados can promote itself in education provision
ATTORNEY GENERAL Adriel Brathwaite wants Barbados to better market itself as a provider of educational services of an international standard.
Brathwaite was speaking in the House of Assembly yesterday, when he noted there could be serious economic benefits for the island if it was aggressively promoted as a place where international schools had successfully made an impact.
At the time, members were debating the first reading of the Caribbean Accreditation Authority Education In Medicine And Other Health Professions (Incorporation) Bill.
He said Barbados had not gone into the marketplace advertising itself, “and yet we have been receiving enquiries consistently”. (BA)
