Sealy slams Mia’s motion

THE NO-CONFIDENCE MOTION brought against Government has been described as a waste of time as the country is going in the right socio-economic direction, according to Minister of Tourism Richard Sealy.

He claimed that the motion brought by Leader of the Opposition Mia Mottley on Tuesday was more about issues she faced within her own Barbados Labour Party (BLP).

Sealy was the final speaker on Tuesday at 11:40 p.m. and the second member from the Government benches to speak in rebuttal of the motion.

The St Michael South Central MP brandished a copy of the BLP’s recently released Covenant Of Hope document, stating that Mottley should be lauded for having it done since her party, after almost 80 years in existence, was only now expounding a philosophy. (ES)
