JAMAICANS Jeff Panton and Mike Fennell Jr are the provisional winners of Sol Rally Barbados.
The pair in the Rubis/Sandals/Ford Focus WRC 08, took the lead from the overnight stop on Saturday.
They took the top seeding for the restart yesterday and then survived the intense pressure waged by M-Sport WRC 2 points’ leader Elsyn Evans and Craig Parry in the Sol/Intercontinental Shipping/Ford Fiesta, local ace Roger “The Sheriff” Skeete and Louis Venezia in the Sol Subaru Impreza S12 B, and Britain’s Rob Swann and Philip Hopkins in a similar machine to hold on to the top spot.
Official results were not available up to Press time, but Skeete and Venezia were provisional second place winners ahead of Evans and Parry and Swann and Hopkins. (TT)
