Trotman is the founder and chief executive officer of MedRegis, a digital system meant to improve ambulatory care by replacing paper with a more efficient way by using apps to streamline the check-in to check-out process – replacing paper with electronics.
This year, Trotman attended the Global Entrepreneurship Summit at Stanford University in San Francisco, California. In an email, he said he met people such as Secretary of State John Kerry; Daymond John of Shark Tank and FUBU, businesswoman and investor Esther Dyson, and heard United States President Barack Obama deliver a speech.
“I had the pleasure of being introduced to Secretary Kerry and I used the opportunity to inform him about MedRegis and my hope for healthcare in the Caribbean. His overall response was encouraging because it reinforced the importance of healthcare and the use of technology in developing regions as well as the significant impact it can have on such an important area such as health,” he said.
