EVEN THOUGH the Barbados Mothers’ Union is seeing a decline in numbers, it has been encouraged to keep fighting to attract younger women.
Anglican priest Rev. Charles Morris, speaking at St Augustine Anglican Church in Market Hill, St George, during the union’s 140-year anniversary celebration on Saturday, said this was the time to show determination.
“You must be an example. You must not see yourself as fishermen or cooks; you have to see yourself as more than that. Our society needs moral healing. Do not fall and stay down because people may misunderstand you, but that’s okay. You may feel like you are in it alone but stay in the race,” he said.
For those who felt disillusioned, Morris said they needed to keep the finish line in sight. (MR)
