THERE IS STANDING ROOM only at the Usain Bolt Sports Complex where scores of parents, athletes and coaches have gathered for the Collegiate Athletic Scholarship Seminar.
The room is full and people have spilled into the corridor for the inaugural seminar.
It is organised by former national athletes Olympian Gabriel Burnett, Sheena Gooding and Sean Dupigny, national coach Ramon Armstrong and former women’s national volleyball captain Janelle Chase-Mayers.
Topics on the programme include junior college, SAT requirements, the NCAA Clearing House, NCAA Division 1 and 2 schools, academic requirements (CSES and CXC) as well as the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics or NAIA. (SAT)
