BUT not happy with water woes
TEACHERS ARE AMONG the hundreds of Barbadians being affected by water outages and president of the Barbados Union of Teachers (BUT) says better must be done, not only for teachers but for schools in the parishes being affected.
Pedro Shepherd told the WEEKEND NATION that while they acknowledge the water problem “seems to be a national issue, there can be no excuse by the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) and the Ministry of Education for not working collaboratively to ensure that our schools are provided with water on a daily basis”.
“It has been no less than four years that the Barbados Union of Teachers has been receiving calls from schools, particularly in St Joseph, about not having water for human consumption or sanitation. (GBM)
