Fogging schedule October 31 to November 3

THE VECTOR CONTROL Unit of the Ministry of Health will continue its fogging programme next week, in an effort to reduce the island’s mosquito population.

On Monday, October 31, teams will head to the parishes of St James, St Thomas and St Michael to spray Bagatelle Terrace, Old Plow Road, Bagatelle Yard, Arch Hall New Development, Arch Hall, Bennetts, Friendship Terrace, Lowland Drive, Green Hill, Mahaica Gap, Lewis Gap, Storey Gap and the environs.

The programme will continue on Tuesday, November 1, in the St Michael districts of Baxter’s Road, New Orleans with Avenues, Rock Gap, Hinkson Gap, Marshall Gap, Kensington New Road, Fontabelle, Farnum Land, Chapman Lane with Avenues, Emmerton Lane, Mason Hall Street, Reed Street and the environs.

On Wednesday, November 2, the Vector Control Unit will journey to Christ Church to spray Dayrells Road, Rockley Terrace, Rockley Main Road, Blue Waters, Garden, Golf Club Road, Lower Amity Lodge, Rendezvous Hill, Brewster Road, Worthing Main Road, Bamboo Ridge, Craigg Road, Beckles Road, Harmony Hall and surrounding areas.

The following day, Thursday, November 3, the fogging team will return to St James and St Michael to carry out the exercise in Johnson’s Road, Prospect Road, Prospect, Crusher Site Road, Walmer Lodge, Pile Bay, Long Gap, Spooner’s Hill, Thompson Gap, White Hill Main Road and neighbouring districts.

Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the spray to enter. Fogging will take place between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. each day. (BGIS)
