Chargers force Game 3

THIS ONE is going the distance.

Godfrey Leacock and Ryan Lewis both scored 20 points in the second half as Executive Air Dover Chargers rallied from double digits down to beat Hilton Hawks 84-72 on Sunday – extending basketball’s First Division finals to a deciding Game 3 tonight.

It was a comeback for the ages, with Hawks seemingly ready to celebrate Premier League promotion at the Barbados Community College after leading by as many as 14 (45-31) early in the third quarter.

And they had already withstood a Chargers rally in Game 1 when they squandered all but two of a 19-point fourth-quarter lead. (JM)
