Harris: BFA going by rules
THE HIERARCHY of the Barbados Football Association (BFA) has hit back at female coaches of the Women’s League.
In an article which appeared in Monday’s edition of the DAILY NATION, a group of coaches aired their grievances after both president Randy Harris and general secretary Edwyn Wood stated unequivocally that the decision to deduct six points for teams not appearing for scheduled games, was in keeping with the association’s rules.
Subsequent to that, Harris sent a statement to the press stating the association’s preference for settling matters behind closed doors.
“Such an approach is best for the image of the sport, and this is the path both myself and the board will be taking as I see all stakeholders in football as one family,” he said. (RA)
