Teen shot at Durants Village

POLICE ARE CONDUCTING investigations into a shooting incident which occurred around 1:04 p.m. today at Durants Village, St James

Eighteen-year-old Kemal Haynes of Holder’s Hill in the same parish was shot three times.

Police say he was “liming” on a bridge in the area with another man when a group of men approached the bridge and open fire.

Haynes received gunshot shot injuries to his right hand, chest and right side. He was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in a private vehicle for medical attention.

His condition is listed as serious but stable.

Police are appealing to anyone who can provide any information about the incident to call Holetown Police Station at 419-1700, or 419-1701,  police emergency number 211, Crime Stoppers at 1800 –TIPS (8477), or the nearest police station.
