Fired Central Bank Governor, Dr DeLisle Worrell, also charged he was never given a chance to defend against certain “allegations” and have a proper determination.
Further, he described the initially botched attempt to remove him as against natural justice, the bank and employment rights legislation as well as “an abuse of discretion”.
In addition, Worrell, who was also chairman of the board, warned the action then contemplated by Minister of Finance Chris Sinckler would cause “further long-term damage to Barbados’ image on the international financial market”. (AB)
