Open manholes a danger to students

COVER THEM BEFORE a child gets hurt!

That is the cry from parents of students attending St Stephen’s Primary School, who are concerned about two manholes near to the school that have been uncovered for months.

When a team from the WEEKEND NATION visited the school in Free Hill, Black Rock, St Michael, yellow caution tape was seen around the two manholes, which are uncovered and estimated to be about seven feet deep.

St Stephen’s Primary principal Colin Cumberbatch said he was tired of calling the Barbados Water Authority (BWA). (RB)
