Primary Schools’ tourney at hand

CHARLES F. BROOME will be hoping to defend their title when the BICO National Sports Council Primary Schools Football Competition kicks off today.

Charles F. Broome will face George Lamming Primary at 10:30 a.m. at Blenheim, while other matches will be staged across the country.

Seventy-two schools will be competing, including St Matthew’s Primary, who are returning after a short break.

The teams have been divided into eight zones, with 18 matches to be played daily. More than 300 matches will be played during the tournament. (RG)
