Kelly eyeing history

JOSHUA KELLY is still eyeing history.

But he’s faced with an equally big feat first.

Defending five-time champ Russell Elcock stands between Kelly and an ever-elusive double this weekend as the latest Barbados Cycling Union National Championships start this morning with the time trial on the Beulah, St Philip course.

It’s the biggest storyline heading into today’s time trial, where the 21-year-old pro rider will be looking to unseat Elcock at 6 a.m. before defending his road race title tomorrow to become the first local cyclist to do the National Championships double. (JM)
