Gems 2-0 in Trinidad Test series

BARBADOS SOAKED UP all Trinidad and Tobago threw at them in the third quarter, before pulling away to win 49-37 and take an unassailable 2-0 lead in their three-Test netball series in Couva.

Tonight at the National Cycling Centre, Barbados outscored Trinidad and Tobago in three of the four quarters, leading 15-6, 26-16 and 35-29.

The Calypso Girls came hard in the third quarter where they outplayed the Gems 13-9.

They levelled the scores at 27-27 before Barbados pulled ahead 33-29 and took full control.

The final Test will be played at 5 p.m. today.

Barbados defeated Trinidad and Tobago 46-32 in the first Test.
