AUBURN, Washington – Reigning Emerald Downs champion Rocco Bowen rode his second straight brace as he continued to dominate the early stages of the new season at the Pacific Northwest American racing oval.

After shining on Friday’s card, the 28-year-old Barbadian returned on Saturday to pick up wins in race two with favourite Alittle Bit Parker and in race three with 2-1 bet Rockport Birdie.

With his latest success, Bowen stormed to 55 wins, opening up a lead of 26 over the second placed Kevin Orozco.

He is now on pace to surpass his haul of 99 wins from last season which brought him his maiden title at Emerald. (CMC)
